Aftermath - Malaysia Election 2008

.

.
I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO TAN SRI DR. KOH TSU KOON
.
.

I cannot bear to step aside and not comment on the aftermath of Malaysia election 2008.
.
We see a wave of change that swept through Malaysia, a strong signal to the previous administration that the Malaysians are not satisfied with their performance.
.
The same cannot be taken for granted in states where BN had the mandate, particularly, Sabah.
In this state, the oppositions were unable to cooperate, egoistic party individuals fighting for representations, lack of these, the results would not have been so rosy.
Let’s hope that the victors take this to heart and there be more transparency & better usage of public funds, not forgetting NEP is supposed to be directed to the poor and not a tool to enrich themselves. I sincerely hope these culprits will change.
.
I must mention that I am moved by Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon, the way he had conducted himself in the face of defeat, his conduct was that of a man with honour and a true gentlemen. A person with penangites at heart, a gesture that ensured smooth transition of Penang government calmed the situation. Such a character enthused maturity and I am sure, he will be welcomed again in future. Lest can be said of other defeated MBs, they truly deserved it.
