Change We Can Believe In

7th March - Mammoth in Han Chiang, Penang, estimated 30k to 50k strong, in opposition Ceramah
.
.
.
Sabah local news headlines:
.
Musa has done well – a mouthpiece of the federal government all this while?
.
Interior folks assured on development – Why are they still among the poorest in Malaysia, how the NEP just happened to miss them?
.
Learn from Banggi lesson: Amir – who know this character, his father house in Tanjong Aru had to be auctioned off, no further comment.
.
Is there a strong undercurrent in Sabah political scene?
Why bring in big guns like PM Pak lah and uncharacteristic personalities like Sari and disposed-spent-force like Amir & Salleh (all probably heavily gravied?) to lend support.
.
We know how Sabahan behave, no show of emotion, always keep the cards close to their chest unlike our Pen. Malaysian counterparts.
Remember 1985 state election? but this time such scenario is unlikely to happen. This is because our electoral system is such that even in our 2004 election, with more than 30% popular votes, the opposition only manage 10% of the seats, worst in Sabah. Is the present ruling party going to be disposed, no chance! Even with 50% popular votes, analyst estimation is, they may only end up with 30% of the seats. Do we need to see this trend getting worst, which is likely, should they get their threshold of 2/3 majority.
.
Now my point is, why can’t we take this golden opportunity to send a strong message to the forgone concluded winning party that more than 50% of Sabahan are not happy on how the state being managed, how our elected politicians cannot determine our own social structure here, our religious freedom and our resources.
Perhaps than these idiots will listen more to the people than to their cronies.
.
.
We are racing hope against hope.
How did we managed to get into this situation?
Just change it, CHANGE that we can believe in.
